I turn messy operational data into reporting that executives actually act on.
Systems analyst working across insights, analytics and process development — building the reporting, documentation and platforms that let people make evidence-based decisions.
Tools I work with: Power BI, DAX, SQL, Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Power Automate, Jira, JSON, HTML / CSS.
Most of my work lives in the gap between a system that holds the numbers and a person who has to make a call. I build the models, dashboards, documentation and processes that close it — then make sure they keep running without me.
Modelling, DAX and dashboards built for people who have ten minutes, not ten tabs. Row-level security so every subsidiary sees exactly its own numbers.
Administering the Microsoft stack end to end — tenancy, intranet, permissions — including the cybersecurity audits nobody volunteers for.
Turning a quarterly scramble into a repeatable pipeline: process maps, technical documentation and automated distribution to the people who need it.
The newest thread, and the one I chase in my own time — building interfaces on a modern React stack, this site included.
Hospitality to logistics to government to enterprise analytics. Every step added a system to understand and someone who needed the answer faster than the system gave it.

Side projects where the analytics thinking meets the frontend — one finished, one a good deal larger than it was ever meant to be. Open either for screenshots and the write-up.
Five million rows a month. Nothing hardcoded.
A static analytics site over NZTA's open vehicle register. 5.9 million rows are pulled and precomputed into a Parquet cube every month, so the browser answers questions like "how fast have EVs grown" without ever touching raw data — DuckDB in a GitHub Action, Astro and React on the front, no server.
In development4Shaders for the wall, not the demo reel.
A generative visual studio for commercial LED video walls: author real-time GLSL and 3D procedural scenes, run dual-screen client pitches from them, and manage the physical displays they play on. React and Three.js on the front, an Express and Postgres API behind it, MQTT out to the hardware.
One continuous page rather than a set of them: structure from rhythm and typography instead of dividers, and motion that takes the hint the moment it is not wanted.

What follows is the rest of it: what the site is made of, and what each piece is actually earning its place for.
